Banyan Tree Park
Banyan Tree Park is on Lahaina, Maui's famous Front Street. The banyan tree is, of course, the park's main draw. It was brought from India and planted in April of 1873. It is now almost 60 feet tall.
Even though it looks like there are at least a dozen trees in this park, there is only one. There are a total of 12 main trunks on the tree, not counting the huge center. It is the biggest banyan tree in the U.S., and seeing it is one of the best things to do in Lahaina.

The main street in Lahaina
Lahaina Front Block is the place to go if you want to find a lot of different stores on one street. You can shop and walk around at the same time. There are a lot of shops to choose from here, from cheap souvenir shops to high-end art galleries with beautiful pieces.
A little farther down Front Street is the Lahaina Cannery Mall. It's a normal mall with lots of souvenir shops, but there's nothing special about it.

Go Surfing in Lahaina
If you go to Hawaii, it would be a shame not to try surfing. People in the Lahaina area who want to learn how to get out on the waves can take classes with a group.
