Approximately 120 miles separate Orlando from Clearwater Beach. There are three basic methods to travel between cities. The first route is 108 miles long and follows I-4 West; it takes around two hours to finish.

In between the two locations, this route is mostly straight. The I-4, which travels via Lakeland and Tampa, is the most direct route. I-4 is the best route to use since it offers the fastest journey time if you are traveling with little children.

The second route takes around two hours and thirty minutes longer at 122 miles. From Orlando, visitors will immediately go west to Clermont, Florida.

Although Clermont is a small town, there are plenty of eateries to pick from, including the Clermont Fish House, Root & Branch, and the Rusty Truck Diner. From Clermont, the route travels south, merging with I-4, and ultimately reaching Tampa, Florida, and Clearwater Beach.

Despite being the longest at 138 miles, the final route takes around two hours and thirty minutes to complete. This route crosses Country Highway 470 W as it heads northwest along Lake Apopka and eventually links to I-75. With vistas of nature and animal preserves, this trail is beautiful.

There are fewer options for pit stops up until your vehicle reaches I-75, when large brand restaurants and gas stations are reachable from multiple exits. In Tampa, where I-75 finally comes to an end, Florida Highway 60 West continues to Clearwater Beach.
